Return and Refund Policy

General Policy

These are Shop.IronNetworks.com’s (“ShopIRON”, “we” or “our”) Standard Return Policies applicable only to products purchased by you directly from the Shop.IronNetworks.com website.

  • All product returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.  You may obtain an RMA number by contacting ShopIRON Customer Service through any of the methods provided at
  • Any return for a refund may be subject to a 25% restocking fee.
  • Products that are not eligible for return and will be sent back to you at your cost and expense if received by us:
    • Any product not purchased from Shop.IronNetworks.com
    • Any product without a valid, readable serial number, including but not limited to products with missing, damaged, altered, or otherwise unreadable serial number
    • Any product from which the UPC code has been removed from its packaging
    • Any product that exhibits physical damage
    • Any product for which you have submitted a mail-in rebate

Open Box Limited Refund Only 15 Day Return Policy

Products that state "This item is covered by Shop.IronNetworks.com's Refund Only 0-Day Return Policy", or items labeled as “Non-Replaceable” (or similar labeling) must be returned to ShopIRON within 15 days of the invoice date for this policy to apply. Products covered by this return policy may only be returned for a refund. “Return” constitutes receipt of the product by ShopIRON, and not the mere issuance of an RMA.

This is our Detailed Open Box Item Return Policy. ShopIRON often sells items that are listed as "open-box." Because these items are sold at greatly reduced prices, they are subject to a limited refund-only return policy. Such items can only be returned within 15 days of the applicable invoice date. “Return” constitutes receipt of the product by ShopIRON, and not the mere issuance of an RMA. ShopIRON cannot provide replacement service for these items, as their stock is limited. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of these items is with the buyer. These items have been tested for functionality, but may have superficial physical defects including, but not limited to, scratches, dings or dents. Should these items exhibit a functional defect following their purchase, the buyer (not the manufacturer, distributor, or ShopIRON) assumes the entire cost of all necessary servicing or repairs, unless otherwise required by law. These items are not covered by any 15-day satisfaction guarantee.

If you purchase an Open-Box product you will receive an OEM or BAREBONE item, meaning you will only receive the item itself. Accessories are NOT INCLUDED with Open-Box products, even if the missing accessory is required for the item to function properly.

Computer, Server and Storage Barebone System Standard Return Policy

  • Return for refund within: 15 days
  • Return for replacement within: 15 days (defective only)

This is our Computer Return Policy. Items covered by this policy (those products for which ShopIRON states "This item may be returned for a replacement or refund within 15 days only") must be returned to ShopIRON within 15 days of the invoice date for this policy to apply. “Return” constitutes receipt of the product by ShopIRON, and not the mere issuance of an RMA.
A new, unopened workstation, notebook, server barebone system or any storage barebone system can be returned within 15 days of the invoice date for a full refund. No restocking fee will be charged. However, customer will be responsible for the return shipping cost unless the return is due to a ShopIRON error.

An opened workstation, notebook, server barebone system or any storage barebone system that is free from defects in materials or workmanship can be returned (in new condition with original product packaging) within 15 days of the invoice date for a refund, subject to a restocking fee of up to 25% of the purchase price and related shipping expenses, all at ShopIRON’s sole discretion.
The following conditions do not qualify for return:

  • Any defective workstation, notebook, server barebone system or any storage barebone system returned after the 15-day return period;
  • Any workstation, notebook, server barebone system or any storage barebone system that has physical damage due to abuse or improper use;
  • Any workstation, notebook, server barebone system or any storage barebone system that is missing any accessories or original product packaging including, but not limited to, AC adapter, battery, manuals, and UPC code.
  • Any workstation, notebook, server barebone system or any storage barebone system which was custom built to customers’ specifications.

An opened and used workstation, notebook, server barebone system or any storage barebone system that is defective can only be exchanged for the same item within 15 days of the invoice date. For defective item returns after the 15 day return period, please contact the manufacturer directly.

A defective workstation, notebook, server barebone system or any storage barebone system that is returned for a replacement may be repaired or replaced at ShopIRON's sole discretion, unless otherwise required by law. While we strive to adhere to our own standard RMA processing times, we cannot guarantee that these times will be met, especially in situations where the item must be sent to the manufacturer for repair. If you have a question regarding returning a workstation, notebook, server barebone system or any storage barebone system please contact our Customer Service Department.

Some computer systems will require pre-authorization from the manufacturer technical support in order for an RMA to ShopIRON to be authorized.

For computer and storage systems that have had an additional operating system(s) installed, we will provide you a refund or exchange as noted in the above policy as long as the original operating system is not corrupted or removed.
You should be certain in your decision to purchase a workstation, notebook, server barebone system or any storage barebone system and must agree to this policy before completing your order. By confirming your order, you indicate your agreement to this policy.

CPU/Processor Limited Replacement Only 15-Day Return Policy

  • Return for refund within: non-refundable
  • Return for replacement within: 15 days

Products that state "This item is covered by Shop.IronNetworks.com's Replacement Only 15-Day Return Policy", or items labeled as “Non-refundable” (or similar labeling) must be returned to ShopIRON within 15 days of the invoice date for this policy to apply. Products covered by this return policy may only be returned for a replacement of the same or equivalent item. “Return” constitutes receipt of the product by ShopIRON, and not the mere issuance of an RMA.

The following conditions are not acceptable for return, and will result in the merchandise being returned to you:

  • Any CPU that is physically damaged
  • Improper installation of CPU fans and/or improper clocking may cause CPUs to chip. CPUs that are chipped, burnt or have bent/broken pins are considered physically damaged and cannot be returned for refund or replacement. Physical damage includes (but is not limited to) improper handling and any other type of damage sustained by irregular use.

Storage (Memory modules, flash, SSD, HDD) Standard 15-Day Return Policy

This is our Standard 15-Day Return Policy. Items covered by this policy (those products for which ShopIRON states "This item may be returned for a replacement or refund within 15 days only") must be returned to ShopIRON within 15 days of the invoice date for this policy to apply. “Return” constitutes receipt of the product by ShopIRON, and not the mere issuance of an RMA.

The following conditions are not acceptable for return, and will result in the merchandise being returned to you:

  • Any Item exhibiting physical damage
  • Modules that are missing the manufacturer label containing model number and part number
  • Modules that are missing the manufacturer warranty label
  • Modules that were shipped with a manufacturer-applied heat spreader, but have had the heat spreader removed
  • "Kit" Modules (which contain 2 or more memory modules packaged together) that are not returned as complete set
  • USB Drives, Thumb Drives, Flash Memory, or any related product that is returned without the cap or protective casing

Motherboards and Cards Standard 15-Day Return Policy

  • Return for refund within: 15 days

This is our Standard 15-Day Return Policy. Items covered by this policy (those products for which ShopIRON and/or ShopIRON. Business states "This item may be returned for a replacement or refund within 15 days only") must be returned to ShopIRON within 15 days of the invoice date for this policy to apply. “Return” constitutes receipt of the product by ShopIRON, and not the mere issuance of an RMA.

The following conditions are not acceptable for return, and will result in the merchandise you have returned to ShopIRON being returned to you:

  • Items exhibiting physical damage

Motherboards and Cards Special Return Policy

  • Return for refund within: 15 days (must be unopened) from the invoice date
  • Replacement for defective: will require pre-authorization with proof from manufacture for ShopIRON RMA replacement to be authorized within 15 days from the invoice date. For support on this product, please contact manufacturer directly

This is our Special 15-Day Return Policy. Items covered by this policy (those products for which ShopIRON and/or Www.ironnetworks.com states "This item may be returned for a replacement or refund within 15 days only") must be returned to ShopIRON within 15 days of the invoice date for this policy to apply. “Return” constitutes receipt of the product by ShopIRON, and not the mere issuance of an RMA.

The following conditions are not acceptable for return, and will result in the merchandise you have returned to ShopIRON being returned to you:

  • Motherboard or Cards exhibiting physical damage
  • Motherboard or Cards that are missing the manufacturer label containing model number, part number or serial number
  • Motherboard or Cards that are missing the manufacturer warranty label
  • Motherboard or Cards returned without all included accessories, bonus games, and documentation

Monitor Standard 15-Day Return Policy

  • Return for refund within: 15 days
  • Return for replacement within: 15 days
  • Restocking Fee: yes

This is our Standard 15-Day Return Policy. Items covered by this policy (those products for which ShopIRON and/or Www.ironnetworks.com states "This item may be returned for a replacement or refund within 15 days only") must be returned to ShopIRON within 15 days of the invoice date for this policy to apply. “Return” constitutes receipt of the product by ShopIRON, and not the mere issuance of an RMA.

The following conditions are not acceptable for return, and will result in the merchandise being returned to you:

  • Any monitor that has been found to be damaged due to physical abuse or misuse.

Monitor Limited Replacement Only 15-Day Return Policy

  • Return for refund within: non-refundable
  • Return for replacement within: 15 days

Products that state "This item is covered by Shop.IronNetworks.com's Replacement Only 15-Day Return Policy", or items labeled as “Non-refundable” (or similar labeling) must be returned to ShopIRON within 15 days of the invoice date for this policy to apply. Products covered by this return policy may only be returned for a replacement of the same or equivalent item. “Return” constitutes receipt of the product by ShopIRON, and not the mere issuance of an RMA.

The following conditions are not acceptable for return, and will result in the merchandise being returned to you:

  • Any monitor that has been found to be damaged due to physical abuse or misuse.

Networking Extended Return Policy

  • Return for refund within: 60 days
  • Return for replacement within: 90 days

This is our Networking Extended Return Policy. Items covered by this policy (those products for which ShopIRON and/or Www.ironnetworks.com states "This item may be returned for a replacement or refund within 30 days only") must be returned to ShopIRON within 60 days of the invoice date for this policy to apply. “Return” constitutes receipt of the product by ShopIRON, and not the mere issuance of an RMA.

Computer Cables and Accessories Extended Return Policy

  • Return for refund within: 45 days
  • Return for replacement within: One Year
  • Restocking Fee: No

This is our Extended Return Policy. Items covered by this policy (those products for which ShopIRON and/or Www.ironnetworks.com states "This item may be returned for refund within 45 days only") must be returned to ShopIRON within 45 days of the invoice date for this policy to apply. Products covered by this return policy may only be returned for a replacement of the same or equivalent item after 45 days of the invoice date for one year. “Return” constitutes receipt of the product by ShopIRON, and not the mere issuance of an RMA.

Bulk Item Return Policy

  • Return for refund within: non-refundable
  • Return for replacement within: non-replaceable

This is our Detailed Bulk Item Return Policy. Bulk Items (including but not limited to such items which weight more than 100 pound and Rack Cabinets) cannot be returned to Shop.IronNetworks.com for refund or replacement service. Therefore, you are urged to carefully examine the box your bulk item ships in before signing for the package. Should you observe any damage to the shipping box or crate, or if the wrong product was sent, you must refuse delivery while the shipping courier is still on the premises. The item will be returned to Shop.IronNetworks.com and you will be refunded the full amount, including applicable shipping costs and tax.

If you determine upon inspection that the condition of the shipping box or crate is satisfactory, an adult is required to sign the shipping courier's release form to complete delivery. By signing this release, you are acknowledging and agreeing to Shop.IronNetworks.com's Policy and Agreement, understanding that you cannot return the item to Shop.IronNetworks.com and that the condition of the delivery meets your expectations. After delivery, please read all included documentation and/or contact the manufacturer directly to determine applicable warranty coverage, if any.

Software 30-Day Return Policy

  • Return Retail Software for refund within: 30 days (must be unopened)
  • Return OEM Software for refund within: 30 days (must be unopened)
  • Return Defective (Retail or OEM) Software for replacement within: 30 days

Products that state "This item is covered by Shop.IronNetworks.com's Replacement Only 30-Day Return Policy", or items labeled as “Non-refundable” (or similar labeling) must be returned to ShopIRON within 30 days of the invoice date for this policy to apply. Products covered by this return policy may only be returned for a replacement of the same or equivalent item. “Return” constitutes receipt of the product by ShopIRON, and not the mere issuance of an RMA.

The following conditions are not acceptable for return, and will result in the merchandise you have returned to ShopIRON being returned to you:

  • Software items that have been opened (if requesting a refund)
  • Software items lacking the original packaging

Educational Software Replacement Only Return Policy

  • Return Educational Software for refund within: Non Refundable
  • Return Educational Software for replacement within: 15 days (only if media is defective)

Academic Edition software is non-refundable. It may only be returned to ShopIRON and/or Www.ironnetworks.com for a replacement only if the DVD–ROM received is damaged. No other replacement RMAs are permitted for any reason.
In the case of a damaged disk or otherwise nonfunctional software, a normal ShopIRON RMA must be obtained, and the disk returned to ShopIRON. If you have already attempted to install the software, using the activation key which had been sent to you, the manufacturer will be notified to cancel the activation key for that disc, and a new disc will be sent to you.
Academic Edition software is non-refundable. It may only be returned to ShopIRON if the DVD–ROM received is damaged. No other replacement RMAs are permitted for any reason. In the case of a damaged disk or otherwise nonfunctional software, a normal ShopIRON RMA must be obtained, and the disk returned to ShopIRON. Downloadable Software Replacement Policy

All sales of Applications are final. We do not accept returns of downloadable software. Software may require you to use a computer or other device meeting minimum system requirements, and you are responsible for ensuring that your computer or device meets Software system requirements prior to purchase. Generally, Software system requirements are available on or from product detail pages. Once you have purchased a downloadable product, we encourage you to download it, if applicable, and to access it promptly to ensure that you have received it. You are responsible for downloading and confirming your ability to access software within thirty (30) days after purchase and bear all risk of loss thereafter, including any loss due to a computer or hard drive crash. We will usually continue to make purchased software available in the ShopIRON Order History Page for additional activations or copies even after this thirty (30) day period, but we may, from time to time, remove without notice because of the Software provider's licensing restrictions or for other reasons. ShopIRON will not be liable to you if any Software is removed from the ShopIRON Order History Page or otherwise becomes unavailable for additional activation or copies. If you are unable to successfully download or access an Application after having reviewed our online help resources, please contact ShopIRON customer service.

Limited Replacement Only 15-Day Return Policy

Products that state "This item is covered by www.ironnetworks.com's Replacement Only 15-Day Return Policy", or items labeled as “Non-refundable” (or similar labeling) must be returned to ShopIRON within 15 days of the invoice date for this policy to apply. Products covered by this return policy may only be returned for a replacement of the same or equivalent item if the original is no longer available. “Return” constitutes receipt of the product by ShopIRON, and not the mere issuance of an RMA.

Limited Refund Only 15-Day Return Policy

  • Return for refund within: 15 days (only if unopened)
  • Return for replacement within: non-replaceable
  • Restocking Fee: Yes, up to 25%

This LIMITED "REFUND ONLY" Return Policy applies only to Products with labeling that states "This item is covered by Shop.IronNetworks.com's Limited Refund Only Return Policy" (or similar labeling). Products must be in UNOPENED CONDITION, and returns must be received by ShopIRON within 15 days of the invoice date or this policy will not apply. Mere issuance of an RMA by ShopIRON does not qualify as a "Return." The unopened product must actually be received by ShopIRON before the deadline stated above.

The following will NOT qualify for return under this policy, and will result in the merchandise being returned to you:

  • Items that have been opened
  • Items lacking the original packaging

FINAL SALES (AS-IS) RETURN POLICY--NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES/REPLACEMENTS

This is our Final Sales Return Policy. This policy controls over any conflicting refund and replacement terms described in our Policy & Agreement and Return Policy. Please contact the manufacturer for any concerns.

Recertified Limited Replacement Only Return Policy

Products that state "This item is covered by Shop.IronNetworks.com's Replacement Only Return Policy", or items labeled as “Non-refundable” (or similar labeling) must be returned to ShopIRON within 15 days of the invoice date for this policy to apply. Products covered by this return policy may only be returned for a replacement of the same or equivalent item, if the original is no longer available. “Return” constitutes receipt of the product by ShopIRON, and not the mere issuance of an RMA.

Manufacturer's Warranties

  • Return for refund within: non-refundable
  • Return for replacement within: non-replaceable

Shop.IronNetworks.com does not offer any express warranties. However, many of the products available through Shop.IronNetworks.com are covered by Manufacturers' Warranties. If a product is covered by a manufacturer's warranty, it will be stated on that product's web page. Manufacturers' warranty details are typically available at the manufacturer's website. Detailed manufacturer warranty information can also be obtained for free by contacting our Customer Service department. Please note that products in this category are non-refundable unless otherwise indicated.

Products that state "This item can be returned to the product manufacturer only" must be returned directly to the product manufacturer for repair or replacement, unless otherwise required by law. For these items, the warranty policy provided by the product manufacturer explicitly requires that any returns, repairs etc. be requested and processed directly by the consumer (or "end-user") of the item.

Iron Networks branded Product Return Policy

In order to receive an RMA# to return Iron Networks branded products, Iron Networks Tech Support must first validate the need for a return within 15 days of purchase. To do so, please visit http://www.ironnetworks.com/support/overview and an Iron Networks technical support representative will troubleshoot and determine whether or not the products is returnable. If so, will issue a case number. Please provide the Iron Networks case number to the ShopIRON customer representative who will then issue a ShopIRON RMA#. 

Unless noted below or in the product description, most products can be returned directly to Shop.IronNetworks.com within 15 days from the date of invoice if all of the following requirements are met.

Maintain all of the original packaging in the event you need to return a product, including the retail box, manuals, cables, and all other items originally included with the product. Do not write or place stickers on the original manufacturer’s packaging.

  • Return for refund within: 15 days (with a valid Iron Networks case #)
  • Return for replacement within: 15 days (with a valid Iron Networks case #)

Out-Of-Stock (Back-Order) Items

If ShopIRON no longer carries an item that is sent in for replacement, or if that item is simply out of stock, the item will be sent to our Back-Order RMA Department. You will be notified via email of two options: 1) ShopIRON can send you a comparable replacement item, or 2) ShopIRON can issue you a refund at the current market value of the product. A current-market-value refund may not exceed the original invoice price. If the item is returned within 15 days of the original invoice date, a full refund will be issued.

Quantity Purchases

While ShopIRON is more than happy to fill your order for a quantity of ten (10) or more of any given item in our inventory on a single purchase order, please understand that an order of that size, once purchase is completed, is automatically non-refundable. All other specific conditions related to the ordered item still apply, including any and all stipulations relative to any available replacement return policies. "DOA" (Dead-on-Arrival) Products

If a product arrives and is completely non-functional (DOA or Dead-On-Arrival), contact us immediately or fill out the online RMA request form. Most DOA products (excluding software and consumables) can be returned for refund within thirty (15) days of invoice. DOA merchandise must be returned with all original packaging and accessories for the return to be accepted. Full refunds are given only in the case of non-functional products.

NO PRODUCT REPLACEMENTS WILL BE MADE.

Customer is responsible to pay shipping costs on all returned items.
